Sorry about the lack of postings lately but been extremely busy. My main project has been working on the renovation of the Boys and Girls Club in Radcliffe which is really exciting and I can actually see the difference we are beginning to make. Our next action day is this Sunday morning from 10am to 3pm so if you have any spare time on Sunday come along with your spade, weed trimmer and paint brush and you will be more than welcome. I have also managed to squeeze in a few days holiday to Canada with my family and visited an old family friend in Ottawa. It was a wonderful trip but not really a rest but nice to go anyway but with mobile phones, emails and skype still kept in constant touch with the UK!
The rounds of meetings at the Council started again this week and last night I attended the Six Town Housing Board Meeting.
This morning started off by going to a Cameron Direct talk at Bolton Town Hall where David Cameron outlined his plans for the NHS and emphasised his pledge to increase the funding to the NHS in real terms year on year. He challenged Gordon Brown to make the same pledge!
This afternoon I went along to a meeting to discuss the Phase 3 children’s centres one of which is being set up in Pilkington Park Ward.
Oh well tonight will be spent catching up with case work from when I was away and finalising things for Sunday.
